Perricone MD Chloro Plasma Mask review

Face masks seem to be enjoying a bit of a revival. There is a lot of talk about multi-masking i.e. using different masks in different areas to treat various concerns. Being a fan of the Dr Perricone skincare line I was very interested to try this relatively new mask.

Chloro Plasma is targeted at those concerned with the signs of ageing as it delivers multiple benefits. If you feel your skin looks dull and tired this is perfect for you.

It’s formula contains micro capsules which are packed with micronutrients including blue green algae and watercress. When you massage this mask onto your skin the micro capsules activate and the mask goes a brighter green colour – I loved this part. The green comes from the chlorophyll being released. Chlorophyll aids in skin detox.

This formulation claims multiple benefits including detoxing, pore refining, revitalising, smoothing and purifying. It is a soft clay texture but doesn’t dry super tight and also it’s not messy which is a huge bonus for a clay mask. Once applied leave for up to 10 minutes and then rinse with a wash cloth. Another point to mention is that this mask in spite of the vivid green colour does not stain wash cloths.

I have absolutely fallen in love with how this mask leaves my skin looking – soft, smooth and really clear and bright. My skin also feels plump and fresh. For me this is the perfect all round mask and answers the exact concerns that I have with my skin at my age. I am using this mask once a week and as it leaves no redness on my skin I can even use it prior to applying make-up.

Although this mask is a considered purchase at £67 for 59ml a little does seem to go a long way. It has won a permanent place in my beauty arsenal.
